Jena, an independent city in the federal state of Thuringia, is the second largest city with a population of around 111,000 and one of the three regional centers of the Free State of Thuringia. It is home to 41 districts and 24 villages, which combine a diverse urban and rural lifestyle. The city is an important university town and is considered the center of the German optics and precision engineering industry, which underlines its economic and scientific importance.
Jena has good transport connections. The nearest major cities are Gera, around 35 kilometers away, Weimar around 20 kilometers away, Erfurt around 40 kilometers away and Leipzig around 70 kilometers away. The B88 and B7 federal highways run through the urban area and provide access to the regional and national road network. The highway access roads Jena-Lobeda, Jena-Göschwitz and Eisenberg also provide good access to the highway network.
There are several local public transport stations, including Jena-Saalbahnhof, Jena-Paradies, Jena-Westbahnhof and Göschwitz station. These stations also provide good connections to regional and national long-distance transport.
In terms of air traffic, the region has several airports. Travelers can use Erfurt/Weimar Airport or Leipzig/Halle Airport to reach national and international destinations.

Current use
The office on the first floor of the building is leased (see appendix for plan section). The rental agreement also includes 8 of the 54 parking spaces. The lease can be terminated at short notice if required. In addition, rooms E.03, E.04, 1.03 and 2.07 are leased for a limited period until 31.12.2024 as part of a usage agreement.
The seminar rooms on the I. and II. The seminar rooms on the first and second floors will be used for teaching and information events until they are sold by the IHK.
